We have had a very successful year so far and our parent group continues to flourish.

We have up to 12 families visiting regularly. We are delighted that some Grandparents are also coming along- we don't mind the gloating about early retirements too much!

An interpreter regularly attends to translate for our Polish family. The cost of this is covered by the children's centre.

Since September we have had a variety of events: Leighton Hospital audiology department sends a technician to nearly every session so we can make ear moulds and have them posted directly to home. Thus saving on time and the hospital parking fees!
We have all enjoyed our Rhythm-time sessions and Bob Davis from NDCS came along to give us advice on benefits and up and coming events.
At Christmas ECDCS funded a little individual video for each child made by "My Very Own Video" company. We had great fun that day!

The Positive Support project came to interview a group of parents so they could work out how best to engage with families. They gave a small grant to ECDCS as a thank you.

We also have plenty to look forward to over the next few months. Jo Kirwin is coming to do some baby massage sessions and Susan Harrigan from The Ear Foundation in Nottingham is going to run a "Small Talk" event for us in June.

We hope to finish our parent group year with a picnic on 14 th July - weather permitting. We are still open to suggestions regarding the venue.

From September we are hopeful that the group will run every week.
